Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Sunroute (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use Sunroute, including our website, the office dashboard, the technician app and the customer portal (together, the “Service”).
Who this applies to
Sunroute is used by pool service companies (“Business Customers”) to manage their customers, routes, service visits and billing. If you are a homeowner receiving pool service, your service company decides what information is stored about you and is responsible for it; we process that information on their behalf. Please contact your service company for requests about your data, or contact us and we will forward your request.
Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, company name, role and password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Customer and service records entered by Business Customers: customer names, contact details, service addresses, gate codes and access notes, pool details and equipment, water test readings, chemicals applied, checklists, notes and photos taken during visits.
- Billing records: invoices, quotes and payment status. Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store full card numbers or bank account numbers.
- Photos: when a technician chooses to add a photo to a visit, the image is uploaded and stored with that visit record.
- Technical information: basic logs (such as IP address, browser type and timestamps) used to keep the Service secure and working, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell personal information.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: scheduling and routing visits, recording service work, generating reports, invoices and quotes, and processing payments.
- To send service-related emails on behalf of Business Customers, such as visit reports, invoices, quotes and account notices.
- To secure, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Cloud hosting and database providers.
- Email delivery providers, to send visit reports, invoices and notices.
- Stripe, to process card and bank payments.
- OpenStreetMap services, to display maps and convert service addresses into map coordinates.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as the Business Customer’s account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymize its data within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (for example, payment records) to meet legal obligations.
Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, and email server passwords are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can access and update your account information in the Service. You may request a copy of your data, a correction or deletion of your account by emailing soaresmlv@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under applicable law; we will honor verified requests as required. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above.
